Today, I look at the brave and carefree energy of Arre Yaar Meri and the highly catchy beats of Mujhe Tumse Mohabbat Hai. These two tracks take you from the classic black-and-white fun of the 60s to the sweet college memories of the 2000s. While one shows a girl breaking the rules of her time, the other brings back the simple joy of early 2000s romance.

A Carefree and Brave Vibe
This is a fun track that perfectly shows a girl who is brave, carefree, and very outgoing. She does this in a time when it was not considered the right thing to do. Basically, she wants to say, “If I am beautiful, why do I need to hide it under a veil (ghoonghat)!”
It is perfectly filmed on Dev Anand and Kalpana Kartik. I also love the final vocals by Kishore Kumar at the end. He is at his dramatic best!

A Catchy College Memory
This track has very ordinary lyrics, but the tune makes it a super catchy guilty pleasure song. Also, this came out during my college days, so I heard it a lot back then!
If it was not filmed on the actress Dia Mirza, I feel singer Sunidhi Chauhan would have been the perfect match for this type of song. I definitely prefer the original version over the remix.
